It is of importance when making decisions about getting the right coax for your Ham Station to understand that there are trade-offs that have to be considered between transmitter power, antenna gain, coax loss, erp, and your total Ham Station system performance.

The title of this page might read like some sort of secret code. I guess it's one of those pages that if you are looking for specific information you'll find the page, and otherwise you might not care.

This project began as an effort to make new jumpers for an older Phelps Dodge duplexer. All six of the original jumpers were each 8-3/4" long (but don't take that as gospel, measure yours and use that measurement). Following are the details of how the PL-259 connector is installed on the Superflex. Each photo is a thumbnail and will enlarge to a full size photo. How I solder a PL-259 and the ring connectors to RG-8X (mini 8) coax cable for the 2 meter vertical dipole antenna, the tri-band yagi antenna with dipole driven elements, and for small quad or quagi antennas.
